Prices
The intention with the criteria is to stimulate the development of sustainable produced renewable materials and use of recycled materials in the packaging.
Packaging for liquid foods is not a traditional Nordic Swan Ecolabelled product, since here it is the actual packaging that is Nordic Swan Ecolabelled, and not the product inside the packaging.
Nordic Swan Ecolabelled packaging for liquid foods:
- Consists of minimum 90% sustainability sourced renewable materials or
minimum 80% recycled material, in order to conserve the Earth's resources
and reduce emissions of greenhouse gases. - Fulfils the high requirements for chemicals, for the benefit of health aspects,
as well as opportunities for recycling. - Can easier be recycled, which promotes the circular economy.

* When both the applicant and the manufacturer are micro-enterprises, the fee is reduced by 50%. The definition of company size is based on EU recommendation 2003/361.
** The applicant should be aware of the excisting Nordic Ecolabel fees for paper & pulp. Look under 'Inspection of board (Disposables for food, criteria generation 4)' in the paper 'Nordic Ecolabel fees paper & pulp'.
*** Where audits require more than one day away from the office including travelling, Nordic Ecolabelling can invoice an additional fee of 1,115 € per extra day. Other extraordinary costs induced by the audit can also be invoiced the applicant.
**** The renewal fee only applies if the application has been signed and submitted before end of the validity of the licence. Else the normal application fee will apply.
***** As for an extension of or amendments to a licence, time consumed in connection with the review process will be invoiced according to the extent of the required task. We make a distinction between entirely administrative tasks that last less than 1 hour, and all other tasks that last between 1 and 4 hours, between 4 and 8 hours and more than 8 hours.
All fees are exclusive of VAT. All information related to fees is subject to a disclaimer for errors and omissions.
The recipient is liable for the VAT according to article 56 of the Council Directive 2006/112/EC.

This product group is not digitized.
You will find the application form and tools to get started with your application under the CRITERIA tab on this page.The application form must be completed, signed and submitted together with the documentation to application@ecolabel.dk.

For suppliers
Has one of your customers applied for certification with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel? You can help your customer by registering the product or item properties, i.e. pulp or chemicals in the MSA Portal. We can then use the information in processing your customers application.
You can declare products and materials such as for example chemicals, pulp, paper and cardboard.
