Prices

The criteria group includes all types of hotels and other accommodation – with or without restaurants and / or conference facilities.

A company certified by the Nordic Swan Ecolabel meets ambitious environmental requirements and has taken a holistic approach to its environmental work connected to energy, water, food, waste, biological diversity, chemicals and procurement. The hotel has an active and structured approach to reduce its consumption and optimize operations.

The criteria for a Nordic Swan Ecolabelled hotel and other accomodation include:

Limit value for energy use
Prohibition of fossil oil or gas for heating.
Energy and CO2-reducing measures to limit the environmental footprint.
Limit value for water use
Efficient use of water
Limit value for residual waste
Effective sorting of waste to ensure recycling of materials and more circular use of resources
Implementing routines to prevent food waste.
No use of disposable items in daily serving.
Strict environmental demands for single use items for catering, take-away and fast food
Reduction of environmental footprint by serving more sustainable food.
Measures to ensure biological diversity on the hotel grounds
Use of ecolabelled products for general cleaning, dishwashing and laundry to limit undesirable chemicals.
Use of several ecolabelled products and services.
Training of employees to include everyone in the environmental work.

Fee per additional unit in a chain - if applications are coordinated centrally by same contact person**	1,625 €
Annual licence fee for Denmark based on turnover per unit + VAT:
Unit total turnover + VAT 0-1,8 mio. €	0.10 %
Unit total turnover + VAT > 1,8 mio. €	0.03 %
Minimum fee for Denmark per unit per year	1,083 €
Maximum fee for Danmark per unit per year	4,000 €
Alternatively, a chain with more than 5 certified units can pay a fixed rate per unit**	1,731 €

Renewal fee - by new generation of requirements/**	1,192 €
Fee per additional unit in a chain - following the same rules as for applications**	812 €
Extra inspection visit (per visit):
More than one inspection visit within the Nordic region	541 €

Extension/change of existing licence:****
Case handling < 4 hours	406 €
Case handling < 8 hours	812 €
Case handling ≥ 8 hours	1,1625 €

* If an accommodation also has dining facilities and conference facilities at the same address, it counts as one single unit.

** A chain is defined as units with identical brands and same concepts, which certify at least 5 hotels and apply for a license coordinated as well as have coordination during the validity period of the licenses.

*** The renewal fee only applies if the application has been signed and submitted before end of the validity of the licence. Else the normal application fee will apply.

**** Administrative tasks that takes less than 1 hour will not be invoiced.

All fees are exclusive of VAT. All information related to fees is subject to a disclaimer for errors and omissions.

The recipient is liable for the VAT according to article 56 of the Council Directive 2006/112/EC.
